3 Reasons You Should NOT Be an Agent!

Updated: Mar 8

Are you trying to decide whether or not real estate is the right career for you? Well, in this video, we're going to give you 3 reasons why real estate might be the WRONG choice!

It might sound harsh, but not everyone should be an agent, and these three reasons can make or break the success of an agent.

YOU ARE LAZY

If you're the type of person who likes to sit around and do nothing all day, then a career in real estate is probably not for you. Real estate agents need to be proactive and always be on the lookout for new business opportunities.

If you're not willing to put in the work, then you'll likely never see any success in this field. Being an agent means being prepared to hustle – so if you're not up for that, it's best to find another line of work.

YOU ARE IMPATIENT

Impatience is not a virtue in the real estate industry. Patience is key when working with clients, managing properties, and waiting for the perfect deal. If you are not patient, you will quickly become frustrated with the process and likely make mistakes that could cost you dearly.

Additionally, if you are not patient you will likely miss out on opportunities. Patience is required to succeed in real estate. It allows you to think clearly and make smart decisions. It also allows you to build relationships with clients, colleagues, and business partners. These relationships are key to success in any industry, but especially in real estate.

If you are not patient, you will likely find yourself out of the business before you even get started. So, if you are not patient, my best advice is to find another line of work. There are plenty of other industries that would be a better fit for your personality. Real estate requires patience, so if you don't have it, this is not the industry for you.

YOU ARE A QUITTER

Real estate agents are not quitters. If you're the type of person who gives up easily, then a career in real estate is probably not for you. Real estate agents need to be persistent, especially when things get tough.

There will be times when you'll feel like giving up, but if you're a quitter, you'll never make it as a real estate agent.

If you're not a quitter, then a career in real estate could be very rewarding for you. It takes hard work and dedication to succeed as a real estate agent, but it's definitely worth it if you're up for the challenge. Who knows, you might even end up loving your job!
